A tunnel in east London was shut due to a “police incident”. The Limehouse Link tunnel was closed westbound with heavy traffic expected as a result.
According to Transport for London’s travel advice: “Use an alternative route. Traffic is very slow in all surrounding areas and local diversion routes with heavy delays on East India Dock Road and Aspen Way in both directions. Traffic is also heavy eastbound on The Highway. Expect delays.”
The tunnel is vital for motorists travelling to and from Canary Wharf.
