THREE hotels across the UK have been named as some of the best in the world.
National Geographic found the most incredible hotels from around the world and placed the best into 10 categories from revamped hotel to wellness focused to having the best food.
Fowlescombe Farm in Devon bagged top spot for the ‘food hero’ category.
On the hotel’s website, it says: “Fowlescombe Farm is a quietly luxurious and restorative rural retreat of just ten beautifully designed suites, set close to wilds of Dartmoor in Devon.”
The farm sits on 450 acres and has 10 suites for guests inside its revamped stone barns.
Inside, all have modern furnishings in soft neutral tones. One of the bigger suites, Home Barn even has a living space, kitchen, spacious bathroom and a walk-in shower.
It has a separate super-king bedroom on the mezzanine level the room rate starts from £415.
All stays are full board at Fowlescombe Farm and include long breakfasts, lunch, snacks and dinners.
They also have experiences for guests and encourage them to get involved with farm life like feeding the chickens and goats.
Other activities include flower pressing, yoga, board games and evening campfires.
As for the food, the farm offers a seasonal menu written by hand by the chef, with dishes made from ingredients from the gardens and grown on the farm.
National Geographic said: “It’s an ideal escape for those keen to muck in and learn firsthand where their food really comes from.”
Saltmoore in the Yorkshire moors came runner-up in the wellness category.
The hotel is just outside of Whitby and has 72 rooms varying in sizes from cosy snugs to some with four poster beds – the room rate starts at £280.
It has a real focus on health and there’s even has a cafe where they serve up bone broth.
At the spa, there’s an indoor pool, sauna and steam room, ice bath, relaxation room and plenty of treatments too like salt scrubs.
There’s plenty of places to eat from the beachside pizzeria to the Michelin Guide Recommended Brasserie and The Terrace for al fresco dining.
The hotel is owned by former Love Island contestant Montana Brown and her partner.
The final English hotel on the list is The Swan Inn which National Geographic described as a “place to hole up on a romantic break”.
And it came runner-up in the category for ‘romantic bolthole’.
It’s a 14th-century West Sussex coaching inn updated to be a luxurious country hotel.
Inside are 12 individually designed en-suite bedrooms, each is inspired by the artists, writers and musicians who have previously stayed at The Swan Inn.
On Sundays, the hotel serves up big roast dinners from beef to chicken and pork.
The Swan Inn is in Fittleworth, West Sussex, rooms are on a B&B basis and the rate starts at £107.
And here are four of our favourite UK hotels to visit in 2025 from countryside resorts to eccentric city pads.
