Wendy Wu Tours has doubled its Cruise & Tour programme, along with its biggest-ever trade giveaway, featuring a £10,000 travel credit prize.

The escorted tour operator said cruise-and-tour bookings increased by 32% year-on-year, for the period from January to May, with more than 80% of passengers choosing Far East destinations including China, Japan, and South Korea.

The new range is almost twice the size of its predecessor and has nine new itineraries spanning Asia, Africa and the Americas, alongside new cruise partners and fresh destinations.

Every Cruise & Tour booking made between in June qualifies for the new Spin to Win campaign, giving agents the opportunity to win an instant reward, such as gift vouchers, luxury treats and travel experiences.

There is no limit to the number of spins an agent can earn, as every confirmed Cruise & Tour booking generates another chance to win.

The campaign is accessed through the Wendy Wu Tours agent portal, where agents enter their booking reference to reveal their prize.

Furthermore, every Cruise & Tour booking confirmed in June and July will be automatically entered into the operator’s biggest-ever prize draw, with one agent winning a £10,000 Wendy Wu Tours travel credit to spend on future holidays.

Gary King, head of trade sales at Wendy Wu Tours, said: “Cruise & Tour combines two of the fastest-growing sectors in travel, so it’s no surprise we’re seeing such strong demand from both customers and agents.

“Customers aren’t looking for one bucket-list experience anymore – they’re looking for several, seamlessly connected within one extraordinary journey.

“For agents, that’s incredibly powerful. These are highly differentiated products that stand out in a crowded market, and because we’ve done all the hard work behind the scenes, we’ve removed much of the complexity that would normally come with packaging these kinds of multi-component holidays.

“Whether it’s combining Japan and Alaska, exploring Africa by ocean, rail and safari, or discovering Costa Rica aboard a tall ship, these are the kinds of holidays that capture imaginations and create genuine excitement. The response from the trade has been phenomenal, and we’re delighted to support the launch with the biggest giveaway we’ve ever run.”

Additions include the Costa Rica Tall Ship Adventure, from £7,190 for 16 days, which combines Costa Rica with a seven-night voyage aboard Star Clipper.

Ultimate Africa: Ocean, Rail & Safari is a 26-day holiday from £13,840, featuring Mauritius, Reunion, Madagascar, Cape Town, Rovos Rail, Victoria Falls and Chobe National Park.

South American Odyssey, from £14,540 for 32 days, combines Rio de Janeiro, Iguazu Falls, Buenos Aires, Antarctica, Patagonia and Machu Picchu.

The collection also marks Wendy Wu Tours’ entry into Alaska through two major new itineraries.

Tokyo, Alaska & Seattle – 20 days from £8,290 – combines Japan with a 14-night Holland America voyage through Alaska, while Rockies, Rail & Alaska – 14 days from £10,340 – pairs an Alaska cruise with the Rocky Mountaineer.

The launch is further supported by a consumer-facing campaign offering Free Return Flights or Partner Flies Free, delivering savings of up to £900 per person across selected Cruise & Tour holidays.
