Soaring demand for surprise travel experiences and plan-free travel are emerging as one of the most sought-after travel trends of 2024. In line with this emerging trend, new regenerative travel outfitter, Few & Far has unveiled the “Unknown Experience” planned by co-founder, Sarah Dusek.
The “Unknown Experience” is the brand’s latest sustainable mystery adventure that invites travelers to immerse themselves in the unexpected with curated journeys around the world. The “Unknown Experience” aims to “liberate” travelers, offering the freedom to entrust Few & Far to curate a Sarah Dusek-guided “Vision Quest” to the far corners of the globe. The new experience serves as a welcome surprise for adult travelers seeking a true sense of adventure and exploration by releasing all manner of control and trusting the travel process, sans itinerary.
Newly launched in March 2024, Few & Far was created by environmental entrepreneurs, Sarah and Jacob Dusek. They created Under Canvas, which scaled to over $100 million in just six years. Now, Few & Far is on a mission to bring the sustainable safari experience to life globally with The “Unknown Experience.”
Few & Far offers fully carbon-neutral, immersive journeys complemented by stays in eco-minded luxurious accommodations. The Unknown Experience is an adventure designed for couples, friends, solo travelers, families and international thrill seekers that are open to embracing the element of surprise. While the specifics remain a surprise, guests have the freedom to choose the continent for their adventure through Few & Far’s surprise questionnaire.
Few & Far offers sustainable, luxurious itineraries in remote locations such as the Peruvian Amazon, the Botswana Bush, Italian Dolomites and North America’s wildest areas, with trips costing between $10,000 and $50,000 per person. Highlights include immersive journeys through Argentina and Chile, from jungles to the “end of the world,” blending culture and natural wonders, to Slovenia, where you can hike the Julian Alps, raft emerald rivers or explore the UNESCO Škocjan Caves system.
Launched earlier this year for the summer, Few & Far offers several seasonal experiences in custom luxury tented private camps in destinations across the U.S. including the Grand Canyon, San Juan Islands, Grand Tetons, Mendocino, Yellowstone Country and the Sierra Nevada.
Each Few & Far itinerary includes a twist: for every trip booked, travelers will receive a comprehensive review of the impact generated on their journey. For instance, guests embarking on the “Lima and The Peruvian Amazon” adventure will directly support local Amazonian artisans, empowering local communities along the riverine areas through Delfin Amazon Cruises’ program, leaving a lasting positive footprint on the communities encountered and the “lungs of the world” protected.
