Gianna Hsu Wong Mei-lun, chairwoman of the Travel Industry Council, said some 30 tour groups involving more than 900 Hong Kong tourists were currently in Taiwan, while none of them were in Hualien – the epicenter of the 7.3 magnitude quake.
She said the Council has not received any request for assistance from the tour groups, and two tour groups set to head to Hualien will have their itineraries changed.
