Inside Travel has appointed Tom Welland as Global Trade Marketing Manager for its InsideJapan and InsideAsia brands.

Tom joins the specialists from Bristol-based ski holiday tour operator Heidi.

He said: “During my time at Heidi, I supported the company in the best performing season to date and I intend to do that on a bigger scale here at Inside Travel Group. My role here is to make it even easier for our trade partners to sell InsideJapan and InsideAsia trips.”

InsideJapan has had record numbers of travelling customers so far in 2024, in line with recent announcements from the Japan Tourism Agency that March was the country’s busiest ever month for inbound tourism.

InsideAsia has also had a record quarter with 2024 booking confirmations up 175% on 2023 with Korea as its fastest growing destination, representing 48% of bookings so far this year.  

Head of Trade Gabo Quiros said: “Tom will play an important role alongside our UK BDMs and the magnificent team of specialist consultants we have at Inside Travel.”
