G Adventures, the tour operator championing community tourism, added five wildlife-centric tours to its Jane Goodall Collection in honor of her 90th birthday.

The tour collection, which Dr. Jane Goodall endorses, aims to support wildlife conservation and responsible tourism around the globe. The new trips visit Tanzania, the Amazon, Costa Rica, the U.S. and the Galápagos Islands. One tour includes a visit to Gombe Stream National Park, where Dr. Goodall began her research about chimpanzees in 1960.

“All of us at G Adventures are sending the warmest wishes to Dr. Jane Goodall on her remarkable 90th birthday,” said Bruce Poon Tip, founder of G Adventures. “Dr. Goodall’s dedication to wildlife conservation continues to inspire me and so many others around the world, and her tireless effort is a powerful reminder that we can all make a positive impact on the planet.”

  • Tanzania: Chimp Trekking & Serengeti Safari: The 10-day Jane Goodall Collection tour is also part of G Adventures’ Geluxe Collection, offering premium accommodations and active experiences. Travelers will head from Arusha to Dar es Salaam and visit the Ngorongoro Crater, hike up Mt. Makarot, wander on a chimpanzee trek in Gombe Stream National Park and experience life in Mto wa Mbu village.

  • Amazon Riverboat Adventure In-Depth: The nine-day river cruise is led by Amazon Reserve naturalist guides and takes travelers on daily excursions to reveal how the river feeds the life of the Amazon Rainforest. Travelers will visit the Amazonian Manatee Rescue Centre and learn how poaching has impacted the region’s wildlife.
  • Iconic Wildlife of Yellowstone & Grand Teton: Closer to home, travelers can experience the natural wonders of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park under the guidance of local experts and naturalists, and come into close contact with the creatures that call each park its home.
  • Costa Rica: Tortuguero, La Fortuna & Rio Celeste: The eight-day trip, also part of the Geluxe Collection, begins in San Jose, Costa Rica and includes a kayaking trip in Tortuguero National Park, premium accommodations and other opportunities to encounter wildlife firsthand.
  • Galapagos Express Adventure: Wilderness and Wildlife: This new seven-day trip is for young adults only, and offers ample opportunities to snorkel, hike and explore the biodiverse Galapagos islands. Guides will take the group to the Fausto Llerena Breeding Center and the Galapagos National Park Interpretation Center.

The Jane Goodall Collection now boasts 19 trips and has welcomed over 30,000 travelers to experience the world’s natural wonders and diverse creatures firsthand. A portion of every tour booked is donated to the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada.

“The Jane Goodall Institute thanks G Adventures for their continued support. Connecting with nature and having respect for animals is important for the wellbeing of our human spirit. It also gives travelers an understanding of the urgent need to protect our beautiful planet before it’s too late,” said Dr. Jane Goodall.
