Tourism North Bay is re-launching its Driftscape application, designed to enhance the travel experience for residents and visitors.
“This application offers an immersive way to explore North Bay’s natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and vibrant community through points of interest across the city, self-guided tours, and interactive maps,” says a news release.
Tourism North Bay has partnered with the City of North Bay’s Economic Development Department, Public Library, Discovery Routes, and Creative Industries to create self-guided tours with more features that will be added in the coming months.
“This app will not only enhance the visitor experience but also encourage residents to explore and appreciate the incredible assets we have right here in the city,” said Tanya Bédard, Executive Director of Tourism North Bay. “By embracing digital tourism, we aim to make North Bay more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.”
The app was initially introduced in 2020 and never really had the opportunity to reach its full potential due to the travel restrictions and safety measures put in place during the pandemic.
Driftscape will allow users to discover North Bay’s hidden gems, historical sites, local attractions, upcoming events and accommodation offerings.
“The app features detailed information and multimedia content, including images, audio and video, to provide a comprehensive guide to the city’s offerings,” adds Bedard.

- Interactive Maps: Explore North Bay with interactive maps that highlight key points of interest, trails and cultural landmarks.
- Self-Guided Tours: Enjoy curated self-guided tours that showcase the best of North Bay’s history, art, culture and natural attractions.
- Multimedia Content: Access rich multimedia content, including photos, audio guides and videos for a deeper understanding of each location.
- Event Listings: Stay up-to-date with the latest events and activities by linking to the events calendar on the website.
- Eat & Drink: Download the dine-in listing of North Bay’s diverse food and brewery offerings.
The Driftscape app is available for free download on both iOS and Android devices by visiting the App Store or Google Play store.
