The recall follows a warning from the Office for Product Safety and Standards via GOV.UK, which notes: “Stanley 1913 have issued a voluntary recall of the Switchback and Trigger action travel mugs because the lid threads can shrink when exposed to heat and torque, causing the lid to detach during use, posing a burn hazard. The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.”

These products have been available online from 2016 until 2024, but Amazon has since pulled the listing. Stay updated on recalls by visiting the Food Standards Agency and Chartered Trading Standards Institute websites, reports the Mirror.

Additionally, keep an eye on retail stores for any posted recall notices if products are withdrawn from sale.
