With simmering U.S.-Canada tensions, some Canadians are rethinking where they want to spend their travel dollars — and looking at some of the great places this country has to offer.
The Current is putting together a Canadian travel bucket list, made up from your suggestions. Maybe you have a favourite spot in your community, or somewhere you’ve visited in a different province that you can’t wait to go back to. Or a spot that you visit every year — anywhere in Canada. We want to highlight the places that make this country special.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll share some of your suggestions. That’s when the real competition begins. You’ll be able to vote for your favourite, helping to shape a list of Canada’s best travel destinations as chosen by you, our listeners.
This isn’t scientific. We want to celebrate this big, beautiful country, which means we’ll be considering geography when we make the list that you’ll vote on, highlighting locations coast to coast to coast.
