Rail replacement transport is in operation between Manchester Piccadilly and Macclesfield (operated by Bestway, Zan Travel and Amans Travel).
If your train is cancelled, your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the two CrossCountry services operating before and after your cancelled service.
This can be used on the below services:
Avanti West Coast services between Nuneaton and Stockport
Northern services between Stafford and Manchester Piccadilly
West Midlands Railway / London Northwestern Railway services between Stoke-on-Trent and Birmingham New Street
“If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost” National Rail said.
