AMMAN, Jordan — G Adventures and National Geographic Expeditions will launch a co-branded luxury travel collection in 2027.

The companies, which already operate cobranded tours, will debut National Geographic Signature with G Adventures in January 2027 and open bookings in January 2026. Itineraries are not yet available, but they will be operated in South Africa, Vietnam, Japan, Central Asia, Peru and Jordan.

G Adventures president and CEO Ben Perlo unveiled the news Saturday at the company’s GX Summit here in Jordan, alongside Nancy Schumacher, senior vice president and general manager of National Geographic Expeditions and Adventures by Disney (National Geographic is owned by the Walt Disney Company).

G Adventures and National Geographic launched a small-group adventures program in 2015 and a family-oriented collection of tours in 2019.

The new collection will be focused on education, community and culture. The companies said they plan to marry National Geographic’s education expertise with G Adventures’ community tourism focus. Each itinerary will feature experts; special access to museums or historical sites; and what the operators call “signature moments” to support community connection. Each trip will max out at 22 travelers.

“I think this is going to be a revolutionary product in the luxury travel space,” Schumacher said here at the Summit. “With luxury travel, many people will think about the creature comforts: the thread count of the sheets in the hotel, or the fluffy pillows or the Michelin star restaurants. The things that we think about at National Geographic are the luxury of the experience that we’re creating for our travelers.” She referenced examples like opportunities to connect with locals over a meal to better learn about their lives and culture.

“The new way of exploring will offer travelers who are seeking a more traditional luxury experience the opportunity to see destinations through a unique lens and immersive, socially conscious experience,” Perlo said.
