Most Visited and Best Global Cities to Travel in 2025: The global tourism industry witnessed a significant rise in demand with 2024 marking a crucial milestone in its recovery, with international arrivals increasing by 19%, in addition, the increase in international tourism spending reached a total of USD 1.9 trillion in 2024, as reported by Euromonitor’s Index.
While Europe remains the most popular region for travellers, with 793 million international trips recorded for the year, the 2024 rankings reflected a shift, with Asian destinations making significant gains.
Furthermore, the report forecasted that the United States, Turkey, and China are likely to witness the highest growth in the volume of international arrivals by 2030.
In a notable mention, the capital of Thailand – Bangkok, with a continued dynamic growth rate of over 30%, was the most-visited city last year (2024), Euromonitor’s report reveals.

In addition to Asian and European cities, four Middle Eastern cities have made it to the list. Two of these cities—Mecca and Dubai—are among the most visited. Additionally, Türkiye, which straddles both Europe and Asia, has two cities on the list: Istanbul and Antalya.
