The Maui Chocolate Tour, a guided cacao experience, is reopening in Lahaina this month after having closed because of the Maui fires. Additionally, Hawaii Farm Project is debuting a new tour.
“After months of working toward recovery in our community following the wildfires that devasted our beloved Lahaina town, I am excited to announce that we are now reopening the Maui Chocolate Tour with our partners at Maui Kuia Estate Chocolate,” said Mary Britton, COO of Hawaii Farm Project, in a news release.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to reopen one of Hawaii’s most distinctive and enjoyable farm tours, as well as debut a new chocolate experience, made possible by the support of both the community and through the dedication of our incredible staff and guides,” Britton said.
The Maui Chocolate Tour ($85 per person) takes guests through the Maui Kuia Estate cacao farm and educates them on the “farm to bar” chocolate-making process.
The new Chocolate Factory Experience ($125) gives guests a behind the scenes look inside the factory, which is the largest chocolate factory in Hawaii. The tour is 90 minutes and includes a sampling of chocolate.
