The Restless Coast by Roger Morgan-Grenville is set to be published on Thursday, June 5, detailing his journey around Britain’s coastline, including Dorset.
The book, described as a “moving and passionate” travelogue, highlights both the historical significance and the modern challenges faced by the coastline.
Mr Morgan-Grenville’s work is said to shine a spotlight on the unique characteristics of the more than 10,000 miles of British coastline, which is constantly changing and adapting.
The author also highlights stories of those working to protect the coastline.
The Restless Coast is not just a travel account but also a defence of the coastline, discussing its natural history and how humans have shaped it over centuries.
