Where do U.S-based solo travelers want to venture off to in 2025? From a domestic trip to Washington, D.C. to traveling all the way to Australia, Google trends this month revealed the top-searched destinations for solo trips.
Solo travelers have solidified themselves as a powerful demographic, and interest in traveling continues to be on the rise with Google data showing that searches for the term “solo travel” were up 20.2% in 2024 compared to the prior year.
In 2025, 62 percent of travelers plan to take two to five solo trips, according to a survey of 2,000 travelers conducted by Skyscanner, an online travel agency.
