Social enterprise The Shoebox Experience, which already runs tours in Norwich, has announced it is expanding its operations to include the town on the coast.

The organisation is best known for the Norwich Hidden Street Tour which brings people through the city’s hidden medieval streets.

In Great Yarmouth, the Seafront Tour will explore the stories behind iconic attractions like the Venetian Waterways, Wellington Pier, Britannia Pier and the Pleasure Beach.

The Heritage Walk, meanwhile, will begin at the Minster and end at the Time and Tide Museum, covering more than 1,000 years of local history – from medieval churches to modern day artwork.

Tours will run exclusively during the summer holidays and offer a fresh, fun way to experience the town’s heritage.

Tickets are priced at £16.50 adult, £8.50 child with all profits reinvested back into local community.

The Shoebox is a social enterprise and as well as running tours in Norwich, they also run lots of different groups and clubs for local people to come together and reduce social isolation.

All of the profits from the walking tours go back to supporting local community, helping local people lead fulfilling lives and make their mark on the world.

The new walks join the 13 guided tours already run by Great Yarmouth Borough Council which take place between April and October and cover a range of themes from the medieval town wall and seafront to the historic alleyways, the town’s cemetery and historic inns.
