Scotland’s top city for a “girls trip” has been named. It has also been crowned the third-best destination in the world for a girls holiday.
According to experts at Titan Travel Tours, interest in the ‘best girls holiday destinations’ has spiked by 200 per cent in the last week. With summer just around the corner, people far and wide are eager to turn their group chat plans into reality.
Titan Travel Tours have put together a list of the “10 must-visit girls group trip destinations for 2025”. Coming in at number three on the roundup is Edinburgh in Scotland.
The Scottish capital received a ‘girls trip score’ of 8.0 out of 10. The rating was based on factors such as walkability, safety, spa and wellness options, food and drink scenes, hotel costs, and seasonal climate data.

According to the experts, the walking time between Edinburgh’s “top five attractions” is 44 minutes. Meanwhile, it was found that there are 328 free attractions in the city.
Among the top attractions in Edinburgh that are free-to-enter are the National Museum of Scotland and The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. The former is home to countless fascinating objects and exhibits, while the latter is a perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon in the city.
Titan Travel Tours also found that there are 142 spa and wellness centres dotted around Edinburgh. Some of the most popular spas in the city include One Spa and the spa at the Balmoral Hotel, both of which offer a wide range of relaxation and wellness treatments.
In terms of food and drink venues, the experts found that there are 181 pubs and clubs and 1,802 restaurants in Edinburgh. The Scottish capital is renowned for its culinary scene, home to both Michelin-starred restaurants and cheap eats.
Among the top-rated eateries in Edinburgh are The Botanist Bar and Restaurant, The Dome, and Indian restaurant Dishoom. Popular pubs and bars include The Devil’s Advocate, Cold Town House, and Stramash.
When it comes to places to stay, the average cost of a three-star hotel room per night was found to be £108. Popular three-star hotels in Edinburgh include the Britannia Hotel Edinburgh and The Murrayfield Hotel.
Edinburgh also received a ‘safety index score’ of 68.78. The score was based on factors including perceived safety during daylight and nighttime, crime severity, and concerns about specific crimes such as physical attacks and mugging.

Meanwhile, topping the experts list as the best girls group trip destination is Porto in Portugal. The city received a girls trip score of 8.68 out of 10, with praise given to its “mix of culture, affordability, safety, and fun” and high numbers of bars.
Following behind in second place on the list is Florence in Italy, with girls trip score of 8.09 out of 10. Rounding out the top five are Bordeaux in France and Lisbon in Portugal, with scores of 7.89 and 7.85 respectively.
