Riviera Travel has introduced a reduced £99 per person deposit across all products and departure dates.

The move aims to help agents “reassure customers who may be hesitant to commit” and “stimulate demand”.

The lower deposit applies to new bookings made from April 9 for river cruises, ocean yachts and escorted tours, covering departures from 2026 to 2028.

The offer does not change balance due dates and can be combined with the current promotion running with 10% off 2027 and 2028 itineraries.

Vicky Billing, director of trade and partnerships for the UK and Ireland, said: “Introducing a £99 deposit across our entire programme is a decision we believe will make a real difference for our trade partners and their customers.

“We know customers are keen to book but hesitant to commit large amounts of money upfront, particularly for longer-lead holidays in the current market.

“This initiative removes that barrier, helping agents to unlock bookings for their customers across 2026, 2027 and beyond.”

Chief executive Matt Luscombe said the scheme was designed to offer “reassurance and confidence” to customers and agents.

He added: “By lowering the initial commitment and keeping all balance due dates unchanged, we’re giving customers the freedom to book, safe in knowledge that they’re travelling with a trusted operator.”
