A stretch of a major UK motorway was closed after a lorry crashed into a barrier, sparking huge traffic chaos near London Stansted Airport.
Queues built up on the M11 between Junctions 8 and 10 as a result, while pictures from traffic cameras showed traffic being brought to a standstill.
A post on the National Highways website read: “The M11 in Essex is closed northbound between J8 (Stansted) and J10 (Duxford). A lorry has left the carriageway, causing barrier damage.”
