The tours gave visitors the chance to see newborn lambs and learn about the lambing process.

The tours were led by staff at the park, who gave visitors an insight into the care of the lambs.

Sarah Hassall, animal experience and welfare manager, said: “We were fully booked on our bespoke lambing shed tours at this special time of year, seeing newborn lambs and those a little older.

“It is lovely to share with visitors, and we also had repeat business, so that was nice.”

The animal park is home to a variety of animals, including goats, ponies, pigs, ducks and alpacas.

There is also an indoor play area for children and a café.

The park is situated just outside Dorchester and spans 35 acres.

There are also two national plant collections and lakeside walks.

The park is hosting a plant fair with free entry between 11am and 3pm on Friday, March 21.

There will also be an Easter trail running from Saturday, March 29, which will include a bunny hunt and egg decorating activities.
