Just You has appointed author, presenter and broadcaster Janet Ellis as its travel ambassador.
Ellis is most well known for her presenting the children’s television programmes Blue Peter and Jigsaw between 1979 and 1987.
Since then, the 69-year-old has presented TV and radio series on a variety of subjects and has also published two fiction books, The Butcher’s Hook and How It Was.
As a travel ambassador, Ellis will join Just You tours to experience solo travel and share stories of her trips.
Ellis said: “It is both a pleasure and a privilege to be a travel ambassador for Just You. Not only for the opportunities to see more of the world of course, but it’s also so enjoyable seeing things through the eyes of my fellow travellers – that feels really special.
“It’s such a treat to meet and get to know like-minded people on a solo tour and to make connections with each other, as we discover, explore, enjoy and share the world around us.”
Adam Kemp, Just You managing director, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Janet into the Just You family as a travel ambassador.
“Her love for discovering new cultures and destinations, as well as her belief that travel can be a force for good, match perfectly with everything we stand for and the experiences we offer our guests. We look forward to following her adventures.”
Just You is marking its 25th anniversary this year. The specialist solo tours operator has more than 70 solo-exclusive tours on offer.
