But it seems that Jeremy Clarkson is set to have a lot in common with nerdy trainspotter and TikTok sensation Francis Bourgeois.
I can reveal that the lovable train enthusiast, who counts Prince William and Kate Middleton among his fans, is being eyed up as a presenter of Amazon’s Grand Tour.
Former Top Gear trio – Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond– called time on their hit Prime Video series last year, with their final special – One For The Road – airing in September.
A source said: “Francis is a big noise online and Amazon producers are hoping to bring him into the mainstream.
“He is loved by everyone – from royals to rappers – and is sure to be a hit with Grand Tour viewers.

“Francis is not just a social media sensation but trained as a mechanical engineer so knows his stuff.”
Francis – real name Luke Magnus Nicolson – has amassed 2.4million followers on Instagram and another 3.3million on TikTok.
The trainspotter, from Harlesden, London, studied mechanical engineering at the University of Nottingham and was briefly hired by Rolls-Royce.
He was also invited by Palace aides in 2023 to meet the Prince and Princess of Wales as the royal couple travelled on the Elizabeth line in London.
It seems Francis already has the royal seal of approval.
