A Place In The Sun star Craig Rowe has revealed his secret to getting a good nights sleep despite all the travel his work on the Channel 4 property show demands – he brings his own pillow everywhere.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk he admitted: “I love pillows. I could go on for ages about my pillow. I mean, I actually travel with my pillow. People think I’m crazy. But if I don’t have a good pillow, I can’t sleep.

“I’ve got a beautiful Tempur pillow. It’s called the cloud, the Tempur cloud, and I travel with that all the time,” he revealed.

Indeed the star is so fond of pillows and a good night’s rest he would love to launch his own bedding range away from the show.

“I would love to do bedding. I love good bedding. I’m gonna sound like such a granddad,” he laughed. “I love high thread cotton. At the moment I’ve got beautiful brushed cotton because it’s colder.

“Obviously. I love mattress toppers. I love a good mattress topper,” he gushed. I would have a bedding line, and I might have a fragrance line to go with it – home fragrancing.”

However his business ambitions don’t end there and the health and fitness enthusiast also wants to get involved in the world of food.

“One day, I would love to have my own food range of blood sugar friendly meals and snacks. I could bore you senseless about this (nutrition).

“All of it would be (food) that you would eat it and it wouldn’t spike your blood sugar, but it would taste good.

“So that would be another ambition. Bedding, fragrance and food, how about that?” he enquired.

Craig is very conscious of proper nutrition having overhauled his diet and fitness routine after being diagnosed as prediabetic.

However he conceded it isn’t always easy to maintain good habits. “I’ll do well, then what happens is, and I guess I speak for many people with this, I’ll kind of revert back to my old ways.

“And then, of course, I’ll undo all the success that I’ve got. So my new resolution, having learned so much [in 2024] about exercise, I’ve been doing lots of different types of exercise, and I’ve been really learning more about food and nutrition and mindset.

“So I think my my resolution is [to] take all that information and keep going. Because if you don’t keep going, that’s when you just revert back. And my blood sugar starts getting high and weight starts coming back.

“So my New Year’s resolution is to keep what I’m doing, but actually be consistent, which I think is a thing that so many of us struggle with,” he acknowledged.
