Once spring starts to roll around, I feel like I’m constantly on the move. Whether it’s a social event, wedding, or quick weekend getaway, my love for hibernation in the winter time always leads to a heavy dose of travel come March—and I’m not mad about it. Having just returned from a trip to Miami for a wedding, I’m already starting to rack up some more Delta Skymiles, and though my travels went smoothly, I have one tiny regret.
After I returned home, I purchased a new pair of $26 yoga pants from Amazon and quickly realized they were the crème de la crème of travel pants. While I missed the opportunity to wear them on my most recent trip, I won’t be making that mistake again.

Here’s the thing. I rarely opt for leggings or yoga pants when I travel. My mom has always been one to “dress up” for flights, so, I’ve inherited a similar approach. While I never sacrifice comfort while traveling, I usually wear a pair of flowy linen pants, my favorite Rag & Bone sweatpant jeans (they look just like real jeans, I promise), or a matching set.
On a whim, though, I ordered a pair of wide-leg yoga pants from Amazon that I planned to wear while lounging around my apartment or to a yoga class. But after slipping them on, I realized they actually looked far more elevated than any of the yoga pants I’ve tried on before. In fact, they vaguely reminded me of trousers—and even my mom agreed. Despite my aversion to the idea of traveling in yoga pants, these bottoms have been added to my highly-curated travel wardrobe.

While they might resemble trousers, they feel like anything but. The pants are made with a buttery-soft material that offers just the right amount of stretch. Plus, they have a high-waisted silhouette that’s not only flattering, but also incredibly comfortable. My absolute favorite thing about these pants, though, is that they come in petite sizes. As someone who is five-feet tall, that’s game-changing. I’ve always struggled to find yoga pants that don’t drag on the floor—another reason I avoid them when traveling. But, these fall right at my ankles, making for a perfect length.
Those over 5’4”, though, will be happy to know that these pants also come in regular and tall lengths, with sizes ranging from XS to XXL no matter which length you choose. Oh, and did I mention that they’re also wrinkle-free? After multiple wears, I haven’t encountered even a tiny crinkle, which is a major bonus when traveling.
I never thought my favorite elevated travel pants would be replaced by yoga pants, but these completely changed my mind. Plus, with a $26 price tag, I might pick up a few more pairs to have on hand (and with 20 color options, there’s plenty to pick from). With over 2,000 Amazon purchases in the last month and over 5,000 five-star ratings, I’m clearly not the only fan of these wallet-friendly pants, so take my word for it. These Amazon travel pants are a frequent-flier essential.
