A travel expert visited the safest city in the world and has shared her thoughts on social media.
Raimee uses her online platforms to help people “travel smarter and for less” by giving suggestions for holiday destinations and advice for visiting different countries. With more than 40 stamps on her passport, she has gathered plenty of travel knowledge and expertise.
In a video posted on TikTok, she gave recommendations of what to do when visiting Abu Dhabi, which is ranked as the safest city in the world. It is the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and has plenty of tourist attractions.
Abu Dhabi has been named the safest city in the world in 2025 and this is the ninth consecutive year it has been awarded this ranking. Several factors contribute to these rankings, including the general perception of crime levels, community-focused policing initiatives and emergency response capabilities, according to Damac Properties.
Raimee said: “Abu Dhabi consistently ranks as the safest city in the world and it’s so much more than a lay-over.” She then shared her ideal four-day itinerary to make the most of visiting Abu Dhabi and in the comment section of her post, she admitted that the city is “truly such a cool place” and “unlike anywhere I’ve been.”
On the first day of her holiday, the travel pro suggests visiting the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the city’s most iconic landmark. The beautiful structure features white marble domes, an immense Persian carpet inside the mosque, crystal chandeliers and capacity for up to 50,000 worshippers.
Raimee said that it is free and you don’t need to pre-book tickets in advance, but she recommends doing so to avoid disappointment. She noted that there is nowhere to rent the clohtes you need to enter the mosque but there are “plenty of affordable shops” where you can buy appropriate clothing. One such place is an underground shopping centre that visitors go through before reaching the mosque.
Next, she recommends heading over to the National Aquarium nearby, which she says is the “coolest aquarium” she has been to and the “largest in the Middle East.” To end the first day, Raimee suggests taking a boat tour, taking in the city skyline and having dinner somewhere along the waterfront.
On your second day she recommends having tea at The Conrad, a luxury hotel in Abu Dhabi, where you can see the “panoramic city views.” After this, she advises visitors to relax by the beach or find out what events are taking place in the area.
On day three, Raimee suggests looking at the art at the Louvre, a museum in Abu Dhabi that celebrates the rich history, culture and stories of the UAE before heading to the desert for dune bashing, spending time at a desert camp, sand boarding and enjoying a traditional meal and performances. On the final day, the travel expert insists on taking in the history of the city by checking out Abu Dhabi’s oldest stone building and visiting the nearby House Of Artisans to learn about Arabic coffee and crafts.
She added: “In the afternoon you can go visit the beautiful presidential palace and get in any last minute shopping before heading to the airport.” Raimee ended her video by sharing that she had “the best time in Abu Dhabi”. Numerous users left positive comments on her post, including: “Ok, that looks amazing!”, “Oh, that food looks so fun!” and: “I’ve been influenced.” Another user claimed: “Abu Dhabi is always overshadowed by Dubai, but it definitely deserves more love! More people should add it to their UAE trip.”
