The Inner Forth Bike Bus, run by the Climate Forth project, relaunched on Sunday, May 17, and will operate every Sunday until September 27.

The service allows cyclists and walkers to hop on and off along the route, offering easy access to towns, villages and heritage sites around the Inner Forth.

New for 2026, tour guides from Little Scottish Treasures are on board, sharing local history, insights and recommendations with passengers as they travel.

The bus, operated by PVT Transfer, can carry up to 12 bikes, including non-standard cycles, and connects with sections of the Round the Inner Forth route.

Project manager James Stead said the initiative continues to promote “practical ways to support active and sustainable travel,” adding that improvements have been made following feedback from previous seasons.

The service aims to encourage greener travel while helping people explore the area without needing to return to their starting point.

While booking is not essential, passengers are advised to reserve a space in advance online.
