Explora Journeys will host its first world cruise in 2029, a 128-day sailing on the Explora I.

The cruise will depart Dubai on Jan. 6, 2029, and conclude May 14 in Barcelona. Guests will visit 29 countries or territories and 63 total destinations.

Sailing east from Dubai, the voyage will traverse South and Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and then cross the Pacific to travel up the coast of South America and through the Panama Canal. It will then sail Central America, the Caribbean and the U.S. East Coast before crossing the Atlantic and concluding in the Mediterranean.

The itinerary includes 12 overnight stays. It also marks Explora’s first visit to Australia and New Zealand.

Explora said bookings will open in February.

Explora, MSC Group’s luxury cruise line, began cruising in August 2023. The line has two ships sailing, with the Explora III due to enter service next summer. The Explora IV is scheduled to follow in April 2027.
