Ardgowan Hospice teamed up with McGill’s to offer four 30-minute journeys around Greenock and Port Glasgow across October 29 and October 30.
The tours saw popular local guide George Brown give up his time to share his spookiest and silliest stories.
Driver Jim McNeil also volunteered to transport passengers around landmarks, including Lyle Fountain, Newark Castle, Port Glasgow’s shipbuilder statues and Greenock’s Sugar Sheds.

George and Jim were assisted by McGill’s staff member Derek McCallum, who helped out on the tours.
All children who enjoyed a Halloween tour received a goodie bag at the end of their journey, containing treats donated by Booker Wholesale in Greenock.
Ticket sales saw a total of £1,632 raised to support the work of Ardgowan Hospice.

McGill’s area director Jamie Reid said: “We loved teaming up with Ardgowan Hospice for their Halloween tour for the kids of Inverclyde.
“It was a brilliant turnout, and we were so happy to help give families a fun night out while supporting the hospice’s amazing work.
“A big thank you to Ardgowan Hospice for letting us be a part of it, and to everyone who came along and made it such a great event!”
Ardgowan Hospice thanked McGill’s for its support in delivering the Halloween tours, as well as the volunteers who helped make the trips happen.

The charity said it has received considerable positive feedback from passengers.
One said: “A lot of kids events tend to be quite vague, you sign up and then get little info before the event about what to expect.
“The communication for this event was very clear, and it was a very well organised event.
“If I’m totally honest, it is probably one of the most organised kids events I’ve been to.”
