A Travel Counsellors agent has confirmed a full world cruise voyage for new to cruisers with Cunard for £56,000.
Sarah Jennings, who is based in Essex, made the booking for a pair of regular clients in a Britannia Club Balcony Stateroom on the 108-night voyage.
The cruise on Queen Mary 2 will depart from Southampton on January 11, 2026, and visit destinations including New York, Sydney, Hong Kong and Cape Town.
She said: “I’ve worked in travel for 32 years and have never sold a full world voyage before, so it was an exciting thing for me to confirm, especially being such a unique product.
“These clients are regulars of mine and run their own business and just felt that they deserved it. They work hard and wanted a trip without the stress of packing and unpacking all the time and loved the idea of sea days where they could just totally relax – so Queen Mary 2 seemed like the perfect fit.”
She added: “I don’t sell lots of cruise, as it’s not my expertise, but I have sailed on Queen Mary 2 for a long weekend so I knew the amazing things the ship could offer, and have sold Cunard’s Transatlantic Crossings before, which all helped bolster my knowledge.”
Jennings said she had managed to convince the couple to nearly double their budget for the trip.
She said: “You never know what’s around the corner, so I like to encourage clients to book special holidays whilst they can appreciate and enjoy it. That would be my advice to selling this type of product: life’s short so spend the money before the tax man gets it!”
