Now we are well in the throes of the summer holidays, parents will no doubt be looking for something exciting and educational for their kids to do. While there are plenty of exciting adventures laid around the country, it’s hard to avoid the fact that London holds more than one could ever do in just a single day.
Now, families looking for fun and affordable ways to entertain their children this summer can grab tickets for The Original Tour live-guided Kids Tour of London. This journey sends passengers of the classic open-top double-decker bus on a 45-minute journey around the capital. And just for this summer, tickets have been heavily discounted.
The Original Tour was founded in 1951 as part of the Festival of Britain and has since evolved with the times, with modern buses and more sights to see after 75 years in service.
Right now, The Original Tour has slashed 25 percent off children’s ticket prices from The Kids Tour of London.
This is not a discounted experience, though. The live-guided tour has been designed specifically for a younger audience; London’s vibrant and historic streets will be brought to life with interactive storytelling and “entertaining” live guides.
All of this takes place atop the aforementioned classic red open-top double-decker bus, with guaranteed top-deck seating. However, families are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes before departure so they can pick their seat as it is first come, first served.
Here, everyone can witness the famous landmarks float by while learning all about the city’s Royal, cultural and esoteric histories. The buses also have space for buggies downstairs, free 5G Wi-Fi and children under two can travel for free. There’s also the ability to cancel up to 24 hours beforehand, in case something gets in the way.
Of course, whether you already live in London or are visiting for some time, the capital has plenty of other enticing attractions across the board.
These range from getting on the London Eye and looking at the city at its best from 135 metres in the sky, to hitting a West End show.
