Luxury tour operator In & Beyond Bath is celebrating a decade of crafting immersive travel experiences under the leadership of founder and managing director Jules Mittra.
Founded in 2016 as a one-man operation in a spare bedroom, the company has grown to a team of 15 and earned a Gold Award at the 2024–25 Bristol, Bath & Somerset Tourism Awards.
Mr Mittra said: “It is both humbling and awe inspiring that we are here 10 years after I left teaching to pursue a vision.
“It’s been a challenging first ten years, and I expect the coming ten will be equally so, but it has been immensely rewarding and enriching too, and I’m so proud of what we do, who we are and the team I work with that have helped me realise a dream.
“The impact we have goes beyond simply touring our region, and I hope that we’ll continue to serve far into the future.”
The business grew from Mr Mittra’s belief that the most meaningful travel experiences come from genuine connection—to place, to story, and to the people who know a region deeply.
Its tours combine iconic destinations with hidden gems across the South West, delivered with expert local insight and a personal touch.
Group sizes are limited to a maximum of eight guests, allowing for a more intimate, tailored experience.
In & Beyond Bath sits between a private tour and a small-group experience, offering the thoughtful curation of the latter with the warmth and individual attention of the former.

Mr Mittra has plans for the company’s future growth to include B Corporation status and employee ownership, reflecting its ongoing commitment to responsible business practices.
