Commuters are facing delays across the M6, A500 and A50 during this morning’s rush-hour. The queues on the motorway through North Staffordshire are growing due to a smash.

The collision has occurred on the southbound carriageway between Junction 15 and 14. As a result one lane has been shut off.

A live camera from the scene shows police and firefighters at the crash.

Meanwhile on the A500 and there’s a travel time of ten minutes on the approaches to the two M6 junctions – 15 and 16. It’s also busy on the A50 with a ten-minute travel time on the eastbound through Uttoxeter.

The usually busy westbound in the Potteries is slowing getting congested with queues from Sideway back to Longton. Google Map is also reporting a collision on the A500 northbound exit slip-road heading up onto the Sideway roundabout.

That collision is causing queues on the slip-road.
