EasyJet has made two signifcant changes for all of their flights departing from London Gatwick and Manchester Airport, and it’s important to know before making your way to the airport

Holidaymakers flying from London Gatwick or Manchester with easyJet are being reminded of a change that could impact their travel.
The budget airline operates a whopping 114 flights from London Gatwick Airport alone, flying to major holiday hotspots such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Budapest, Crete, Ibiza, Gran Canaria, Paris, Prague, and Santorini. Meanwhile, easyJet also flies to 20 different destinations from Manchester Airport, including Alicante, Athens, Bordeaux, Copenhagen and Corfu.
With the summer holidays on the horizon, along with the May half-term, the airports are expected to be busier than ever, as thousands of Brits jet off abroad. But anyone with easyJet flights booked that depart from London Gatwick and Manchester should be aware of two significant changes.

In an announcement to travellers, the airline confirmed that it’s changed terminals at both London Gatwick and Manchester. This is important to know before heading to the airport, as it could affect where to park or be dropped off, as many prefer to be as close to their departure terminal as possible.
In a London Gatwick update to customers earlier this year, easyJet confirmed: “From 29 March 2026 onwards, all easyJet flights at London Gatwick Airport will operate from the North Terminal only, for both departures and arrivals.
“The North Terminal is a 2-3 minute journey from the South Terminal on the free inter-terminal shuttle that runs 24/7.”
EasyJet also confirmed a similar change for customers flying from Manchester Airport. The airline announced: “From 19 November 2025, all easyJet flights at Manchester Airport will operate from Terminal 2, for both departures and arrivals. This move is part of Manchester Airport’s project designed to bring upgraded facilities and an even better travel experience for customers.
“From the 19 November, you’ll need to head to Terminal 2 when you fly with us from Manchester, and you’ll also arrive back into Terminal 2 when you return.
“We recommend allowing a little extra time for your journey while you get used to the new terminal and following the airport signage on the day to help you find your way quickly and easily.”
It’s important to be aware of any changes to travel and the airport to avoid any disruptions or delays. The change in terminal location could affect your journey time to the airport or your time navigating the airport, so be sure to leave plenty of time.
In other news, easyJet issued an “important update” earlier this month, warning customers about potential delays following the full rollout of the European Union’s (EU) new Entry/Exit System (EES). It said: “Airports across Europe may experience longer queues at passport control whilst the new European Entry /Exit System (EES) border checks are being completed.
“This will mean you may need to have your biometrics taken, including your face and fingerprints scanned.” They advised passengers to plan their travel to and through the airport as they may “experience longer queues”.
The airline advised that travellers who need to drop off their bags should “go there as soon as it opens”, and then make their way through “security as early as possible”. They further cautioned that there could be additional checks at passport control before the gate, and that passengers should go to the gate or boarding area “as soon as it’s announced”.
EasyJet urged travellers to ensure they have all the correct documents required for travel, although Brits do not need to do anything before arriving at the border for the EES. They further warned that there could be “longer queues” at their arrival airport.
