Google has introduced a new search feature that allows users to track individual hotel prices. The feature is designed to help travelers save some bucks while planning long vacations and trips. As the same suggests, it lets users monitor price changes for specific stays. It will automatically notify users when there’s a price drop or hike for the selected stay, so that they remain updated and plan the trips more effectively.

As said earlier, the new Google Search functionality allows users to track the price of an Individual hotel rather than relying on broader city-wide averages. This allows users to do more personalized travel planning. Travelers who have a specific hotel in mind can now receive alerts when the price changes for selected dates. This is especially useful for those who prioritize certain locations, amenities, or loyalty rewards.

On the desktop website, users can activate hotel price tracking by visiting the hotel search section. They must then enter their travel details and locate the tracking toggle. The option appears under the Overview or Prices tab. However, it requires certain scrolling to find. Mobile users can access the same feature under the Prices tab. Yes, the tool is slightly hidden, but it integrates seamlessly into the booking process. This makes it easier to track prices without repeated manual searches.

Users can now use AI to plan their itinerary

Individual hotel price tracking isn’t the only major addition. Google is also adding a new AI-powered itinerary planning feature that suggests travel plans directly within the search results. All these features will help users better plan their next vacation, especially those in the early stages.

Google has also added several new enhancements that include map-based suggestions and real-time updates. Travelers can use mapping tools to discover recommended stops and attractions. They may also use the flight tracking feature that provides timely information through connected services.
