Dolly Parton is getting on the road in a new way next year.
The iconic country musician is partnering with the Tennessean Travel Stop to rebrand the popular roadside center into Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop, expected to open in summer 2026.
“I have spent the bulk of my life on the road, and more specifically on a bus,” Parton said in a November news release. “All the years spent visiting greasy spoon cafes, truck stops and roadside pit stops have given me an understanding of what traveler’s desire on the road. Whether you are driving a truck, a bus or a car, you want a place that feels like home and recharges you for the rest of your journey. I believe we will fill a void out there on the highways, all while bringing the heart and soul of Tennessee.”

What is Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop?
Part rest stop and part roadside attraction, Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop will feature Parton’s signature flair and Southern charm through travel amenities, curated dining and authentic retail, according to the Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop website.
Opened in 1974, the Tennessean Travel Stop already features a Southern-style restaurant, buffet and gift shop.
Where will the inaugural Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop open?
The first Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop will take the place of the Tennessean Travel Stop in Cornersville, Tennessee, which is about 60 miles south of Nashville.
This flagship location will serve as a proof of concept for the brand. Additional Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop locations will be announced in 2026, the website states.

Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop is expected to open in summer 2026, according to the website. However, the Tennessean Travel Stop will remain open during renovations.
