Mountain Goat, a sight seeing company in the North of England has launched a live Chinese-translated tour in the Lake District.
From December 3, they will run a Chinese-translated version of its Ten Lakes Spectacular tour.
This will operate five days a week from the Windermere Tourist Information Centre.
The tour takes visitors through ten of the region’s most iconic lakes, including Windermere, Ullswater, Derwentwater, Buttermere, and Grasmere.

Asia Connor, group sales and marketing manager at Mountain Goat, said: “This partnership with Mandarin Lakes is the perfect opportunity for us to offer a service we believe is currently missing in the region’s tour landscape.
“This move opens our celebrated tours up to a much wider international audience, ensuring more visitors can connect deeply with the Lake District’s history and natural beauty through the voice of a local.”
Chinese-speaking visitors can now enjoy a fully guided experience in their native language.
The service is delivered in partnership with Mandarin Lakes, who provide high-quality, live Chinese translation.
The company has been operating since 1972, beginning with a minibus service that re-established vital connections between Lakeland villages.

In addition to the Ten Lakes Spectacular, Mountain Goat’s Beatrix Potter’s Favourite Countryside and Six Lakes Spectacular tours continue to run throughout the winter.
Other popular tours will return for the summer season in March.
The company also offers private hire tours and services across the UK.
Mountain Goat is known for its intimate tours that explore not only the Lake District but also the Yorkshire Dales, North Wales, and beyond.
The new Chinese-translated tour is part of Mountain Goat’s efforts to make the Lake District more accessible to international visitors.
