New track and sleepers will be installed as part of a £1.3m investment to make train travel smoother, Network Rail has confirmed.
Work on two projects will take place on the 8 and 9 November at Ancaster, Lincolnshire and the Scarrington Lane level crossing in Nottinghamshire.
Passengers travelling between the East Midlands and Skegness on those days are advised that replacement buses will operate between Nottingham, Grantham and Sleaford.
Philippa Cresswell, East Midlands Railway (EMR) customer experience director, said: “This work will help improve the reliability of our services in the long term, and we’d like to thank our customers for their patience while it takes place.”
