Rabat – Morocco has been ranked 6th among the world’s best countries to visit in 2025, according to global travel platform Kayak.
The ranking features destinations that balance adventure, relaxation, and cultural experiences, making Morocco one of the top choices for travelers this year.
Morocco offers a stunning variety of landscapes, from the vast red dunes of the Sahara to the snowy peaks of the Atlas Mountains.
Meanwhile, ancient cities like Fez and Marrakech present a rich mix of history, culture, and vibrant street life. Fez is famous for its medina, tiled courtyards, and traditional leather workshops.
Marrakech delights visitors with its busy souks, historic minarets, and stunning riads. On the coast, Essaouira offers charming blue-shuttered houses and salty sea winds, while Chefchaouen’s iconic blue streets attract visitors looking for the most Instagrammable locations.
Earlier this year, Morocco emerged as Africa’s most visited country, welcoming 17.4 million visitors in 2024. Kayak’s ranking also notes that Marrakech has become one of the best-value long-haul destinations, with flight prices down 5% compared to last summer.
While Morocco earned 6th place, Zimbabwe leads Kayak’s ranking of the world’s best countries to visit in 2025.
Following Zimbabwe is Lithuania, celebrated for its Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture and peaceful lakeside escapes. Sri Lanka comes third with its mix of golden beaches, lush tea plantations, and ancient ruins.
South Korea takes fourth place with its blend of modern city life and serene temples. Argentina ranks fifth, famous for tango, Malbec vineyards, and the landscapes of Patagonia.
Norway is seventh, renowned for its fjords and northern lights. Moldova earned eighth place as an under-the-radar wine destination with quiet villages and monasteries. Hong Kong, ninth on the list, combines skyscrapers, hiking trails, and world-class street food.
Denmark rounds out the top ten, known for its cosy “hygge” lifestyle, bike-friendly cities, and effortless style.
