MARQUETTE, MI – These popular historic bus tours offered in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula often sell out.
Take a different view of Marquette with Historic Marquette Bus Tours. They’re offered on select summer days by the nonprofit Marquette Regional History Center.
Each 90-minute tour aboard an air-conditioned Checker Transport bus features reenactments that bring to life the stories of historic buildings, homes, people and sites while traversing the Lake Superior waterfront, downtown Marquette and Northern Michigan University.
Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased online at MarquetteHistory.org.
Here’s the tour schedule:
- 1 p.m. on Tuesdays, July 22, July 29 and Aug. 5
- 6 p.m. on Wednesdays, July 23, Aug. 6 and Aug. 13
Tours begin and end at the history center, 145 W. Spring St. in Marquette.
