Spring is in sight, and it’s time to start planning your summer getaway (or last-minute Spring Break plans). Even better, if you take advantage of these miles and points deals, you can save some cash in the process. There are more ways to boost your elite status for the year ahead while also enjoying the perks along the way. These are some of the best promotions to consider this month.

Up to 5,000 Loyalty Points from American Airlines

Last-minute travel planners (and those who like to procrastinate) are being rewarded this month. For every flight booked and flown this month on American, AAdvantage members can earn 500 Loyalty Points in their account. These points are the metric used to achieve elite status with the Oneworld airline. Be sure to register before purchasing and flying (the link is in the promotions section of your AAdvantage account). Tickets bought or flown before registration do not quality.

Elite status upgrade from Qatar Airways after one trip

Book a qualifying ticket with Qatar Airways in either business or first class, and the Oneworld airline will upgrade your elite tier by one level. If you didn’t have status with the airline before, this is a fast-track deal to get it. Remember that once you achieve Ruby or Sapphire status with Oneworld, which is possible via Qatar Airways, you are eligible for benefits when you travel with any alliance member. If you already have top-tier status with the airline, you could earn a one-year extension.

U.S.-based members will find this offer particularly valuable if it gets them to Sapphire status as it would unlock free Admirals Club and Flagship Lounge access when flying American Airlines domestically and using your Qatar frequent flyer number. Act fast as you must book your ticket before March 25 and fly before the end of the month.
