With an impressive 59 per cent year-over-year (YoY) increase in overall passenger bookings, the company is experiencing a surge in demand for popular European destinations, as well as emerging hotspots poised to become the next big thing for Australian travellers seeking alternative holiday experiences.

Explore’s overall passenger bookings are up by 59 per cent YoY, reflecting a significant rise in demand for small-group adventure travel to both classic and emerging destinations.
Europe remains the most popular continent for travelling Australians, with passenger numbers up by 62 per cent YoY. European bookings now make up 66 per cent of Explore’s total bookings from this market.
Italy remains the top destination, with a 60 per cent YoY increase in passenger numbers. The Amalfi Coast Walking tour continues to be a best-seller, drawing visitors year after year to its iconic coastal landscapes.
While classic European favourites like Italy and Greece continue to draw Australian tourists, a new trend is emerging. Turkey and Albania are quickly rising as the standout destinations for late 2024 and 2025 bookings. Turkey has experienced an extraordinary 183 per cent YoY growth in bookings, making it one of the most sought-after destinations for 2025.
